The volunteer's job is to make an analysis of the potential market, plan and implement project, make partnerships, develop workshops with the community and the NGO to teach them how to continue with the new project.

Maya Pedal - Bicycles Machine
The NGO accept bikes donated from the USA and Canada which they either recondition to sell, or use the components to build a range of "Bicimaquinas", (pedal powered machines).
The bikes can be built using locally available materials and can be easily adapted to suit the needs of local people. The machines reduce energy costs, can be used anywhere, are easy to maintain, produce no pollution and provide healthy exercise. Maya Pedal make water pumps, grinders, threshers, tile makers, nut shellers, blenders (for making soaps and shampoos as well as food products), trikes, trailers and more.
